Our Newest Location
The hamlet of Latham is located along U.S. Route 9 in the town of Colonie, which is north of Albany. Before the Europeans settled in North America, Latham was occupied by Mohicans. It was at first known as Yearsley’s Corners, named after an early resident, Jonas Yearsley, but changed to Latham when William Latham became the owner of the hotel built by Yearsley. The “corners” refer to the intersection of Troy-Schenectady Road (NY Route 2) and Old Loudon Road, where the hotel stood.
