There are many FDA-approved gadgets on the market claiming that treatment time can be greatly reduced. Even though there is some evidence that this may be true, the jury is still out on it. With the advent/employment of their new aligner material, Invisalign is now recommending 7-day tray wear. This is a major improvement from the 14-day tray wear which was recommended just 1.5 years ago.
We have also been having some great success with BioLux – Link, and a 3-4 day tray wear is usually recommended with this appliance.
Will I need to wear a retainer at the end of my treatment period?
Yes, every procedure, including Invisalign and other clear aligners, will involve the use of a retainer. However, we are lucky to be living during this time, as technological advances make the retainers small and easy to wear. They can also easily be repaired or removed if need be. In fact, we guarantee that if you follow our retention protocols, your teeth will stay straight!
